HDF Earth Science Town Hall

HDF has been part of the Earth Science foundation for many years and remains as the format of choice for many large observational datasets. Ted Habermann has recently joined the HDF Group as the Director of Earth Science, a new position reflecting a continued commitment of The HDF Group to Earth Science data and users. Ted joined The HDF Group because he is excited about the future. He will describe several new initiatives at HDF (metadata, JSON/XML, ODBC, REST services, aggregation, and OPeNDAP) and elicit input from the ESIP Community on future directions and opportunities.
