Metadata and Data Conventions for Interoperability

The ESIP Documentation Cluster plays an important role in understanding and evolving metadata and data conventions. Topics proposed for discussion in this session include:

a.  A Metadata Compliance Checker based on open source software that tests data granules for compliance with the CF and ACDD conventions.     

b.  NetCDF templates - Means to generate CF and ACDD compliant netCDF files to each Search and Discovery

c.  Normalizing/establishment of a NASA Extension of ISO Metadata.  The need for more than a standard to establish viable interoperability.
