ESRI Session

Abstract/Agenda:

Through a variety of projects, the usage of Geographic Information Systems has grown as way to present geospatially referenced data and model output.  Often, these tools are used in management applications, such as regional planning and disaster response.  In the past 7 months, Esri has initiated a number of collaborations with various Government agencies, Universities and commercial firms to improve both the availability of data in this tool and to improve its ability to support scientific investigations.  At several recent Earth Science community meetings, Esri has demonstrated new features in both the desktop, server and online versions of arc-GIS.  This has resulted in additional collaborations and evaluations of capabilities.  Join ESIP and the Esri team to discuss applications and potential collaborations.
