David Blodgett

Biography: 

Dave is a project coordinator with the USGS Office of Water Information Center for Integrated Data Analytics. He holds a B.S. in civil and environmental engineering and an M.S. in water resources engineering form the UW-Madison. Dave started his career with the USGS in 2009 with a focus on helping hydrology and ecology modelers gain access to climate and other difficult to work with data sources. He is currently the Office of Water Information liaison to the USGS Water Use and Availability Program, managing development of the National Water Census data services, modernization of the National Water Information System’s water use data sub-systems, and coordination of data management planning and publication for the Office of Water Information. Dave is also engaged as a technical leader in the Advisory Committee on Water Information Subcommittee on Spatial Water Data and is a USGS representative to the Open Geospatial Consortium.
