Denise J. Hills is the Director of the Energy Investigations Program at the Geological Survey of Alabama. Her background is in geophysics, energy research including carbon sequestration and low-temperature geothermal, and informal science education. Denise's involvement with ESIP began through her work with the NGDS, and she has become active the the data preservation community, particulary with respect to physical object and sample preservation as it relates to cyberinfrastructure. Denise has a passion for education at all levels, from informal science education in elementary schools, public education and outreach, and professional development.
