Biography:
With an undergrad in mechatronics engineering Jane Wyngaard completed postgraduate studies in parallel microprocessor design for High Performance Computing. This has most recently led to a post-doctoral position at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. Here she is involved in the data systems software development team that created Apache OODT. Her current focus is on customising BigData software for the radio astronomy and polar sciences domains, and developing new tools for drone data
