Web Services Cluster Planning & Kickoff

An initial planning session with a brief overview of the discoverability of web services, how semantic web technologies are being used in that work, and how “big data” streaming data services are used in Earth Observation systems in the first half and use that baseline to start the conversation about potential cluster activities moving forward.

With this background, use the rest of the time in the session as a planning session for the cluster. Absent any other consensus at this point, I would like to keep the discussion around what we can do to promote the discovery of these web services with some thought to pragmatic implementations. In light of that, we'll talk about the earlier work on a general web service description specification and how new use cases and technologies affect that effort.
