Abstract:
The Information Technology and Systems Center (ITSC) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville is working with federal, state and local agencies and organizations to address coastal environmental issues in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic regions of the United States. By drawing from a background of successful cyberinfrastructure research projects and experience with remote sensing data and applications, the ITSC and its partners are developing new architectures for distributed modeling, applications that bring results to mobile devices, and new decision support products that help users respond to changes in coastal ecosystems. Five of those efforts are presented in this poster.
